SUNsational Summer Sunsets

Throughout the summer, I went to so many places and saw so many beautiful things, but I have to say, the summer sunsets were by far my favourite. Please enjoy these top 10 sunsational summer sunsets/rises that I captured over the holidays.

1. Crimson Colours

In first place, I present to you my favourite sunset picture of all time (so far). I love how the fog oozes over the meadow like terrain and how the sun is literally bursting with rays and lighting up the dark sky. As the pink clouds slowly transforms into a baby blue, the silhouettes of trees compliments the positive vibes of the sky.

2. River Magic

At 6:00 am on the last day of summer I woke up extra early to get this picture. As the sun peeks over the hills, it reflects onto the crystal waters of the river and lights up the sky around it while it dyes the fog drifting across the landscape a captivating hazel.

3. Sunsets & Silhouettes

Accompanied by a pine branch silhouette, an insanely colourful background begins to slowly fade to grey. Although the focus is on the branch, the sunset backdrop still catches the viewers eye, featuring the beauty of mother nature.

4. Streaks of Sunset

Taken on the same night as picture #3, the sunset becomes striped by the dark blades of grass below it. Each cloud is streaked with pink and all the colour illuminates the sky to it's fullest.

5. Morning Showers

Similarly to picture #1, the sun rises higher into the sky, the fog drifts along the horizon, and the sun reflects onto the mirrored waters. Except this time, featuring a small, dew covered bush and displaying more of the crystal waters.

6. Salmon Waters

Shallow to deep, blue to pink. This whole photo is infested with opposites that so perfectly compliment each other and blend together. Although the sun is not technically shown, I still think this classifies as an awesome sunset picture because the sun in yet again reflected onto the clear waters of a beautiful, Canadian lake. Not to mention the extra pop of colour coming from the bush on the side and the texture given by the rock and ripples in the sand and water.

7. Perfect Panoramas

I've taken countless panorama's, but this one beats them all. Behind the never-ending field, is an ombre sunrise. On the left, a daily summer blue, but as it transfers to the right, the colour changes to various shades pinks, purples and yellows. All of this cloaked by a thick layer of morning fog.

8. Wonderfull Waters

Sometimes, the day needs to end early, and what better way to do so than a pastel evening sunset. Although the picture is engulfed by dark waters, the sun begins to hide behind the tall mountains and pine tree's. Luckily, it still leaves behind a special treat for us, lighting up the sky with its bright shadow.

9. Candy Colours

This picture was caught barely before the sky turned black. Although this pic is not my very favourite, I still love the colours displayed throughout.

10. Light 2 Dark

In final place, the sky consumes the out of focus picture, but still leaves room for the black mountains and minimal light left behind from the suns final breaths of unclouded glow for the day.

So, that concludes my photography blog for the day. Which picture was your favourite?

May this everyday blog written by an everyday teenager make your day one in a million.
