Look around you. What do you see? Are you outside, inside, at home? Do you see nature, furniture, people? Here's the thing. Everything you see right now is colourful, and this makes the world so much more interesting. If everything was colourless, what would everything look like? Taking the colour away from the world is like taking the emotion away from the person, in fact, it almost is.
Humans have given each colour an emotion(s) in which it represents. Seeing certain colours makes you feel a certain way, although you may not know it.
Let's take a look at what each colour in the rainbow means and figure out just how much colour really changes the universe.

RED
The colour red can be interpreted in two ways that are complete opposites. Red can stand for anger, hatred, and war, all very negative things that have gloomy effects on every person. This category of emotion almost always results in something bad because of how powerful it can be against you. Sometimes, people are blinded by their anger or hate for one another, leading to things that may be regretted in the future. If only we could get rid of this type of "red" completely, but alas no one is perfect, and this is just one of many imperfections.
On the other hand, red can also be seen as passion, desire, and love. All three of these affect us in so many beautiful ways. Passion is what leads us to do things we cherish and things we enjoy. It is often the fuel for things we participate in day to day. Desire is what initially begins the passion. It is what we feel when we want something really bad. It is what pushes us to do the things that can change our lives altogether. Finally, love is an emotion we feel for particular people or things. We direct it towards others around us like family and friends, as well as objects or animals like our pets or important possessions.
ORANGE
Orange is a very straight forward colour. It initially represents enthusiasm and creativity. Our creativity level is what makes us who we are. Some people have lower creativity levels than others, but no matter what, we all have our own creativeness. We can also be identified by our enthusiasm, which may very depending on where/what the focus is.
YELLOW
Yellow is obviously the colour of happiness. It is what we feel when things are going right or we get what we want. It is what brings us up after a low period of time and what keeps us up throughout the sticks and stones life may throw.
GREEN

Green is most highly associated with greed, a feeling that overcomes everyone once in a while. We get greedy when we want something we can't have, but also when some else already has it. Green is also the colour of money, which is found everywhere, and I mean EVERYWHERE. You need money for food, water, light, proper shelter, and other non-essential objects. So, with those things you want but can have you usually need money to get them, and money is a seed that grows into one big greedy forest.
BLUE
Blue is sadness. It is the colour you feel when something horrible has happened, or something doesn't go your way. It is the colour of the tears on your face after an awful turning point in your life, or the colour of a deep, deep ocean of despair. After all, the "blues" isn't called the blues for nothing.
PURPLE
Purple is the colour of wisdom, royalty, and magic. It conveys luxury and power, but also independence. If I were to describe each of these words to the fullest, this blog would never end, so I will leave it up to your imagination and leave it as a mystery, which is the final word this colour represents.
So, look around the room again. Do the things you noticed before look different now? If so, how? Colour really does make our world so much more extravagant, and it make us...us.
May this everyday blog written by an everyday teenager make your day 1 in a million.
